Mr. Ajay R. Shah
Assistant City Attorney
Criminal Law & Police Division
City Hall
Dallas, Texas 75201

OR99-0164

Dear Mr. Shah:

You ask whether certain information is subject to required public disclosure under chapter 552 of the Government Code. Your request was assigned ID# 121623.

The Dallas Police Department received a request for 911 call sheets to 1030 East Ninth number 116, and concerning a named individual. You indicate that portions of the service call sheets are excepted from required public disclosure by section 552.101 of the Government Code.

We believe that a prior ruling, Open Records Letter No. 98-2551 (1998), answers your question concerning originating telephone numbers and addresses on 911 call reports. You may rely upon Open Records Letter No. 98- 2551 (1998) as a previous determination on this issue under section 552.301 of the Government Code, and thus, need not ask this office again for a decision concerning these types of records.

If you have any questions about this ruling, please contact our office.

Yours very truly,

Don Ballard
Assistant Attorney General
Open Records Division
