Gray, who was named “Manager of the Year,” received the honor Thursday at the Statewide Child Support Managers’ Meeting in San Antonio.
“Michael Gray’s dedication and commitment to public service has helped ensure thousands of young Texans receive the child support they need to grow healthy and strong,” Attorney General Abbott said. “An outstanding manager with substantial information technology experience, Michael has deployed his considerable expertise to help make the Texas child support program one of the most efficient and effective in the country. We are grateful to Michael for his service to the children of our great state.”

Gray began his career with the Office of the Attorney General in 2004 in the Child Support Division’s Information Technology department. In 2007, he assumed the role of technology contracts manager where he is responsible for enforcing vendor contract compliance and ensuring his staff members are good stewards of state and federal resources. Gray’s team supports contracts that provide hardware, software and services for the infrastructure used by Child Support Division employees across the state.
