Direct Deposit

Direct deposit is the best way to receive your child support if you have a personal bank account. Most parents with personal bank accounts who receive their child support payments through the Texas Child Support Disbursement Unit are eligible for Direct deposit. Instead of printing and mailing a child support check to you, the Child Support Division can electronically deposit your money into your bank account. Your child support payments are protected and you avoid delays that can occur through the mail.

Benefits of Direct Deposit

  • Direct deposit saves parents time and money by eliminating trips to the bank and eliminating check-cashing fees.
  • Direct deposit eliminates mail time and checks lost in the mail.
  • Direct deposit reduces the risk of check theft.
  • Direct deposit saves taxpayers money.
